Job Summary
Lead and manage a zero-discharge waste treatment facility, oversee waste treatment operations and a team of technicians, coordinate installation/startup of the waste stream facility, and ensure regulatory compliance and performance across heavy metals, organics, and clean water streams. Key duties include directing daily operations, managing training and personnel activities, overseeing equipment installation and qualification testing, supervising startup and qualification of processes, maintaining and optimizing DI/RO systems, sludge handling, chemical transfer, spill response, and overseeing hazardous/non-hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent), 5-7 years in waste treatment, hazmat experience, ability to train staff, strong problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills; forklift/trainer certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in waste treatment
- Ability to successfully train production personnel
- Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems
- Strong team-based attitude and demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams
- Hazmat training and experience
- Forklift/trainer certification required
