Job Summary
Supervise day-to-day warehouse department activities including shipping, receiving, selection, loading, and storage. Assign work to distribution associates, coordinate scheduling based on resources and volume, and lead pre-shift meetings to ensure timely communication on procedures and safety. Maintain warehouse reporting on KPIs, oversee cleanliness and equipment maintenance, and ensure compliance with distribution procedures and governmental regulations. Train associates on process changes, manage performance, and address work-related injuries or investigations as required. Work with cross-functional departments to resolve operational issues and control labor and supply costs.
Required Qualifications
- One year Supervisory or lead experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organization, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Must be able to multi-task and have good follow through to meet deadlines
- Must have good leadership and training skills
- Ability to work with all levels of management and line associates
- Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
- Must frequently sit, walk and stand, use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls
- Must frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with the hands and arms
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned
- Must be able to work in the condition specified for 8-10 hours shift as assigned
- Travel requirements vary by assignment
Desired Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED)
- Three years Warehouse distribution experience
