Job Summary
Supervise receipt, inspection, and storage of custodial and maintenance supplies while verifying shipment accuracy against invoices and purchase orders. Monitor inventory levels, track usage trends, and manage budgets for allocated amounts to support district-wide operations. Coordinate vendor quotes, order distribution, and rental equipment logistics to ensure timely deliveries and address back orders or damaged shipments. Maintain accurate records, complete annual inventory counts, and organize safety data sheets for all chemicals. Serve as backup to the Central Receiving Supervisor as needed and operate warehouse equipment in accordance with safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- GED/High School Diploma
- Valid Texas Drivers License; must be insurable by district's insurance carrier
- Forklift certified (willing to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to read and comprehend guidelines, manuals and publications
- Ability to train staff on assigned responsibilities
- Ability to operate district wide computer system
- Ability to supervise staff as assigned
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and over on a daily basis
- Must be able to push/pull weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to grasp/squeeze, wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reach
- Must be able to drive a light truck or van
- Must be able to work around machinery with moving parts
- Must be able to work around moving objects or vehicles
