Job Summary
Supervisor Utilization Management leading a geographically distributed UM team across multiple offices. Oversees daily activities, prioritizes work, ensures medically necessary, cost-effective, quality care through UM programs (prior authorization and inpatient concurrent review), and maintains compliance with policy and regulatory standards. As a people leader, develops staff, participates in hiring and performance reviews, drives process improvements, and collaborates with physician advisors on complex cases. Strong emphasis on coordinating with various departments, utilizing data and AI tools to enhance productivity and decision-making, and maintaining clinical competency in line with evolving industry practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- 3 years leadership experience
- 5 years of clinical experience or equivalent
- Current unrestricted RN license in a US state or territory
- License or certification in health or human services-related field allowing assessment as permitted within scope of practice
