Job Summary
Lead technical documentation standards by researching, organizing, writing, editing, and producing accurate manuals, procedures, and web-based content for major publication projects. Supervise junior technical writers, providing direction on adherence to Curtiss-Wright standards for clarity, style, and compliance. Train team members to strengthen documentation skills while conducting interviews with users and technical staff to gather necessary data. Develop plans for operational, instructional, and maintenance procedures across paper, multimedia, and digital formats, ensuring all deliverables meet editorial and government specifications. This onsite role in Idaho Falls blends advanced technical writing expertise with administrative coordination to support global power instrumentation and process control systems.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Person
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in technology, communications, or relevant technical field
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in the development and editing of Technical / Engineering documentation, preferably related to computer software and hardware-based products
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, documentation management systems (CMS), and structured repositories
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matters
- Ineligibility to access export-controlled information
