Job Summary
Lead and develop a team of trainers while actively delivering technical, operational, and safety training programs for frontline employees. Oversee training systems, processes, and database accuracy, championing LMS implementation and optimization. Act as an integral member of the Regina site leadership team, partnering with Plant Operations Managers to determine priorities, workforce readiness, and resourcing needs. Develop standardized tools to track performance, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure compliance through proactive planning. Balance strategic improvement with hands-on execution, including leading new employee orientation and personally delivering training as required. Maintain alignment with site priorities and corporate standards to drive training quality and workforce capability.
Required Qualifications
- Post secondary training in a related field or a combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience
- Experience in training systems implementation and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of safety programs (e.g., confined space, fall protection, mobile equipment)
- Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal effectiveness
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated proficiency in learning management systems
- Ability to balance strategic improvement with hands-on execution
- Familiarity with training development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, AI-enabled tools)
