Supervisor / Supervising Engineer, T&D Engineering - Oahu

Supervises, plans, organizes, coordinates, and manages the T&D Engineering section to provide design engineering, project engineering, project management, program management, and general engineering duties in support of customer service requests, 3rd party telecommunications attachments, and the Energy Delivery capital construction programs for Hawaiian Electric. Responsibilities include initiating and approving design and construction standards, managing capital expenditures and budgets, coordinating with internal and external parties, developing performance metrics, mentoring engineers, overseeing personnel matters, coordinating training and safety, and participating in emergency response activities. The role emphasizes leadership, technical guidance, process improvements, and ensuring alignment with company policies, mission, and values. Basic qualifications emphasize a B.S. in engineering, extensive professional engineering experience, knowledge of budgeting, and the ability to manage multi-faceted projects and teams.
