Job Summary
Supervisor Sr de Ingenieria leads the design and development of medical device products or software systems, directing quality assurance and control systems or reliability standards, overseeing evaluation of existing technologies, guiding new methodologies, and directing product concepts from design to market release. Responsibilities include feasibility studies, maintaining documentation across R&D phases, coordinating with suppliers/consultants to ensure timely delivery, and supervising personnel development and engagement. Requires advanced knowledge in engineering with a BS in engineering, 10+ years of relevant experience, proficiency with AutoCAD/SolidWorks for tooling and production-line design, experience in product transfers and new product introduction, process automation experience, Lean/Black Belt certification, familiarity with cGMP and ISO 13485, and strong English communication. The role emphasizes leadership, performance management, talent development, and alignment with department goals; location is Ciudad Juarez, Mexico (MX) in person, with no explicit remote work indicated.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in a similar supervisory engineering role
- Baccalaureate degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent BS degree
- Experience in AutoCAD/SolidWorks for tooling and fixture design/re-design and production lines
- Experience in Product Transfers and New Product Introduction
- Process Automation experience
- Lean Methodologies knowledge; Lean/Black Belt certification preferred
- Understanding of cGMP and ISO 13485; 2016 Lean/Black Belt Certified
- Strong English proficiency (80%+)
- Personnel management and development of direct reports
- Ability to coordinate with outside suppliers and consultants
- Strong documentation and quality systems experience
