Job Summary
Manage the clinical unit for families with children shelters at Echo Place Bronx, NY, overseeing case managers, vocational case managers, and housing specialists. Coordinate client services, develop policies and procedures, and establish goals while working with the Program Director to plan, implement, and monitor HRA and funding/licensing agency services. Drive improvements, anticipate change, and promote staff development and team building within the multidisciplinary shelter team. Requires an LCSW, Master's degree, and three years of supervisory experience in mental health or child welfare.
Required Qualifications
- LCSW Required (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution with a major in social work
- Three years supervisory/managerial experience
- Work experience in the fields of mental health, child welfare, child development, or other related fields
- Strong working knowledge of psychodynamics, group work, case work, health systems and human and child development
- Experience working with trauma and understand Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as well as trauma informed care
- Must have ability to supervise staff and promote team building
- good problem-solving skills
- good written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- English/Spanish speaking preferred
