Job Summary
Lead daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring pickups and shipments are accurate and completed on time. Coordinate inbound freight with third-party carriers and plan workload for forklift drivers and clerks. Monitor inventory positions, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions within WMS and TMS systems. Coach and develop hourly employees on safety, productivity, and standard work while managing labor based on volume needs. Resolve service issues quickly and complete required operational reporting. Maintain FIFO adherence and drive continuous improvement to ensure safe, accurate, and timely product movement.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of leadership experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping/receiving, or related operations
- Experience supervising hourly warehouse employees, including forklift operators and/or clerks
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, FIFO, and warehouse processes
- Experience with WMS and other enterprise warehouse systems
- Experience coordinating freight with third-party carriers and trucking companies
- Strong leadership, coaching, labor planning, and performance management skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safe work practices, including OSHA and forklift safety requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- TMS experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field
- Perishable, agriculture, food processing, manufacturing, or high-volume distribution experience
