Job Summary
Conduct daily compliance rounds on units to observe residents, verify shift information, monitor regulatory compliance, and determine staff assignments. Provide orientation to new staff and describe care plan goals to ensure consistent implementation across shifts. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders while performing physical assessments and completing resident assessment instruments. Develop and revise plans of care with interdisciplinary team members to assist residents in attaining highest practicable well-being. Complete required documentation including accident/incident reports and the 24-hour facility report. Immediately inform physicians and family members regarding significant changes in resident status or accidents requiring intervention. Monitor staff for OSHA compliance, provide first aid for exposures, and take job actions when necessary to ensure safety.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Current, active license as Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- One year experience providing direct care to residents in long term care setting
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as Charge Nurse or similar supervisory experience
