Job Summary
Supervise crew members in the inspection, mechanical maintenance, and repair of park rides, including scheduling, instructing, and assigning work. Troubleshoot mechanical problems, design parts, and determine preventive maintenance schedules to ensure prompt response to work orders. Inspect all in-house and contracted work for compliance with safety policies and regulations, while reviewing inspection records, logs, downtime reports, and incident reports. Operate vehicles, rides, and mechanical equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and diagnostic tools. Coordinate maintenance projects with park departments, contractors, and ride manufacturers, and prepare purchase orders, performance appraisals, and budget reports. Requires 4 to 6 years of mechanical maintenance experience, leadership background, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
- Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational / technical training in maintenance/mechanics preferred
- NAARSO LEVEL 1 RIDE INSPECTOR certification preferred
- AIMS Level 1 certification preferred
- 4 to 6 years of verifiable experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or amusement setting
- At least 1 to 3 years of prior leadership experience
