Job Summary
The Supervisor, Relief Mail Processing oversees the relief-based management of the total mail processing operation within an assigned area on the shift to meet plant targets, service and production standards, quality, and health and safety. Responsibilities include developing plans to meet goals, monitoring staffing and workload, promoting workplace safety, coaching and directing employees, handling HR processes (staffing, performance management, attendance management, disability management), coordinating with Labour Relations on collective agreement terms, facilitating learning opportunities, evaluating methods for efficiency, updating data for reporting systems, communicating with adjacent supervisors, addressing equipment failures to meet deadlines, and maintaining time/leave records for payroll.Requires leadership, operational planning, conflict resolution, safety program administration, union familiarity, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or provincial equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1 year experience managing a team OR Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a unionized environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
