Job Summary
Supervisor RN to oversee daily clinical operations and patient care activities of assigned ambulatory care teams. Balances direct patient care with supervisory duties to ensure high-quality, patient-centered services in line with the San Ysidro Health Model of Care. Leads care teams toward health outcomes improvement, patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical quality goals, develops department protocols, and implements medical management pathways. Responsible for selecting, training, orienting, supervising, and developing nurses and medical assistants; evaluating clinical competencies; maintaining staffing schedules; ensuring regulatory and program compliance; and supporting CQI efforts across infection control, immunization, and administration. Travel to multiple clinic sites within the SYHealth network is required. Required: ADN, active CA RN license, BLS, and 1 year of supervisory experience with direct reports. Preferred: BSN or health care-related bachelor’s degree. Proficient in MS Office with strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to work independently and in a team-based environment; 40-hour/week schedule including evenings/weekends.
Required Qualifications
- ADN required
- Active California RN License
- BLS certification
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience with direct reports and/or unit oversight
- Education preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health care related field
- Ability to travel to multiple sites within SYHealth network
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and mathematical computations
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
