Job Summary
Line Supervisor responsible for directing and supervising employees engaged in complex construction, maintenance, repair, testing, and operation of electric transmission and distribution systems from the Washington Service Center; role emphasizes safety, coordination with multiple departments, resource dispatch for emergency conditions and major storms, training and administering safety and absenteeism programs, and coaching staff to meet performance standards. Requires knowledge of transmission and distribution practices, ability to read complex prints, proficiency with CREWS, SAP, GIS, Flex OMS, Empower, and Microsoft Office, and strong customer-service and leadership capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-7 years’ related work experience in an electrical field
- Advanced knowledge of operations, repair, and construction of Transmission and Distribution systems
- Able to read, alter, and communicate complex prints and specifications
- Able to coach, mentor, engage, and inspire people to excel in their roles
- Demonstrated knowledge of applied electricity including AC and DC circuits and equipment
- Effective leadership skills to direct work of others and ensure safety
