Job Summary
Direct and supervise employees engaged in complex construction, maintenance, repair, testing, and operation of the electric transmission and distribution system. Manage line workers during installation of energized lines, circuit load transfers, fault locating, and service restoration during major storms. Enforce conformance to safety specifications, Preferred Practices Manual, and Accident Prevention Handbook while coordinating equipment, tools, and materials. Lead scheduling of construction, maintenance, and test work across departments. Administer the Company and Regional Absenteeism Management Program and Safety Plan. Provide instruction, training, and counseling to line employees to meet performance standards. Based in Latrobe, PA, this role supports public safety and system reliability for the Connellsville Pleasant Valley Service Center.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-7 years' related work experience in an electrical field
- knowledge of construction and maintenance practices, procedures, work methods, materials, equipment, and tools
- An advanced level of knowledge and experience in operations, repair, and construction of assigned Transmission and Distribution area
- Advanced level knowledge of principles and operation of electric transmission and distribution systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of applied electricity including AC and DC circuits and equipment
- Effective leadership skills to communicate with and direct work of others to ensure safety and produce satisfactory work results
