Job Summary
Oversee daily refinery operations, including distillation, cracking, and blending, to meet production targets and quality specifications. Supervise a team of operators and technicians by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting regular equipment inspections to address malfunctions. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies while coordinating maintenance for timely repairs. Analyze operational data to identify improvement areas, implement cost-reduction solutions, and prepare accurate production records. Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Provide training and development opportunities for team members. Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering required with 5 years of refinery experience. SDGI produces edible oils, biodiesel, and palm oil derivatives globally across 11 refineries and processing plants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in refinery operations
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of refinery processes, equipment, and control systems
- In-depth knowledge of safety procedures, environmental regulations, and industry best practices
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and control systems
