Supervisor, Recreation

Supervise and instruct inmates in recreational activities, including arts and crafts, sports, and special interest programs. Counsel and motivate participants regarding behavior and habits while coordinating with counselors. Develop and distribute weekly, monthly, and annual recreational plans and schedules. Manage equipment and supplies, perform minor repairs, and recommend purchases. Maintain accurate records of participants and ensure accountability for staff, inmates, and property. Promote positive social skills by modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening in inappropriate conduct. Ensure all programs comply with ACA standards, MTC directives, and Florida Department of Corrections requirements. Maintain facility security clearance and complete annual in-service training.
