Job Summary
Lead Ramp operations for Southwest Airlines at SMF, supervising Ramp Agents to ensure aircraft arrival/departure on schedule, enforcing safety rules, coordinating with departments to maintain on-time performance, and managing training, scheduling, and daily reports. Responsibilities include monitoring ground support performance, maintaining equipment (GSE), overseeing day-to-day airport operations, forecasting operational needs, assigning training/compliance tasks, building shift bids, payroll, attendance and ensuring adherence to labor contracts. Requires knowledge of airline operations, safety and security procedures, customer service principles, and ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Requires U.S. citizenship or work authorization and ability to obtain necessary airport credentials; role includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Pay ranges from $36.00 to $37.50 per hour with potential overtime and shift premiums; benefits include travel privileges, retirement plan, STI bonus, profit-sharing, health insurance, and other company-sponsored programs.
