Job Summary
Direct and supervise hourly quality assurance inspectors across all shifts, managing Quality Control activities and ensuring continuity of inspection procedures. Screen, test, and recommend new inspectors from internal and external sources while training staff in QC procedures and evaluating performance. Investigate issues, implement disciplinary actions per corporate policy, and maintain inventory of measuring tools. Track internal problem reports, perform lead auditor functions, and communicate with customer and supplier bases to assure compliance with all departmental and corporate quality assurance policies.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years as a production operator, material utility, or inspector
- Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices
- A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional Score of 20 on the Cognitive portion)
- Good organizational skills
- The ability to use a PC
- Knowledge of statistical process control methods, tools, and procedures
- Agreement to complete all post-hire required training
