Job Summary
Manage the plant's quality program by enforcing safety, health, GMP, and company policies while interpreting customer requirements into manufacturing specifications. Monitor complaint types and frequencies to verify corrective action effectiveness, then define and implement systems ensuring compliance with GMPs, certifications, and audit requirements. Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service to assess inspection devices and develop operating procedures for automatic inspection. Define, train, and direct daily activities of the quality staff, making necessary improvements to eliminate defects. Communicate customer issues and overall plant quality performance to management and personnel. May be responsible for special projects related to other functional areas. 0-25% travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree
- related quality experience
- equivalent combination of education and related quality experience
- minimum of five years' experience in a quality supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment
- demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
- Computer usage and typing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
