Job Summary
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of QC Inspectors in performing inspection and disposition activities for makeup products, components, WIPs, and finished goods in compliance with cGMP requirements and established specifications. Responsibilities include supervising daily work activities, overseeing organoleptic evaluations, reviewing production nonconforming product reports, monitoring quality trends, training QC Inspectors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a Quality Control role within the cosmetics industry, possess strong leadership skills, and be proficient in relevant inspection and documentation practices.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, technical certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Control environment preferably in cosmetics, personal care, pharma or food packaging industry with exposure to FDA and cGMP regulations
- Strong working knowledge of cGMP requirements and variable inspections, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 or ISO 2859 sampling methods
- Ability to distinguish color and identify cosmetic defects

- Proficiency in basic math calculations and use of standard measuring and inspection equipment
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) including data analysis and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and address quality issues effectively
