Job Summary
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of quality assurance testers while providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative environment. Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing, ensuring software products meet high-quality standards through thorough test planning and robust automated testing. Evaluate existing QA tools and processes to recommend and drive continuous improvements to automation strategy and execution. Partner with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and establish team standards for scalability. Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation. This hands-on role (70% individual contributor, 30% people leadership) supports multiple Scrum teams within the Strategic Technology Systems Development team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of experience
- Experience with agile methodologies and Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Experience testing cloud-native applications in any primary public cloud provider: AWS, or Azure, or GCP
- Demonstrated application of data privacy practices and laws
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects and resources
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
Desired Qualifications
- ISTQB: Agile Testing or Foundation Level Testing
- Experience in AWS
- Healthcare industry practices and HIPAA knowledge
