Job Summary

Lead the QA/QC Project Team by setting expectations, coaching direct reports, and ensuring the First-in Inspection process reduces fabrication and installation errors. Conduct routine jobsite and fabrication shop visits to verify compliance with ASME codes, project specifications, and company procedures while actively participating in system walkdowns, hold-point inspections, and turnover readiness reviews. Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation, apply statistical process control methods, and lead the identification and resolution of nonconformances, corrective actions, and code deviations. Serve as the primary QA/QC point of contact for assigned projects, assigning inspectors based on project risk and complexity, and providing regular status updates on quality trends and staffing needs to Project Managers and Regional leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • 10 years of overall experience and/or training
  • 8 years of experience in Quality Control focused on ASME B31 piping codes, industrial and commercial construction, fabrication, welding, non-destructive testing, and/or other similar fields
  • 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory QA/QC role
  • Current certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), and /or ICC Mechanical – Commercial Certification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports
  • Proficient understanding of ASME Section IX BP&V Code

Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years in construction QA/QC preferred in industrial construction, process piping, semiconductor/high-purity environments, or hydronic HVAC/mechanical systems
