Job Summary
Supervisor to lead the Fiber Receiving and Operations teams, including Waste Water Treatment, in a paper-manufacturing setting. You will oversee daily operations, drive safety compliance, manage team development and training, monitor KPIs, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. The role requires coordinating with maintenance on equipment, ensuring regulatory environmental compliance and permits related to wastewater treatment, managing chemical handling, and supporting inspections. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, plus experience in lean/six sigma approaches, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Paper Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in paper manufacturing
- 3-10 years of supervisory experience in a paper manufacturing environment
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in paper fiber handling and/or wastewater treatment
- Strong understanding of water quality regulations and environmental compliance requirements
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong safety and environmental awareness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
