Job Summary
Provide direct field supervision of project execution activities across multiple disciplines, coordinating Maintenance, Operations personnel, contractors, and consultants. Ensure all work is executed safely and in compliance with Teck policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while monitoring progress against scope, schedule, and budget. Conduct routine field inspections to verify quality, efficiency, and adherence to design specifications, and assist with construction execution strategies, sequencing, and labour estimation. Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, quality, and schedule during project delivery. This role bridges project planning and field execution within the Site Engineering department at Highland Valley Copper.
Required Qualifications
- Trade certification, technical diploma, degree, or similar qualification in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong experience in construction, maintenance, or project execution within a mining or heavy industrial environment
- Proven supervisory experience leading field teams, contractors, and cross-functional work groups
- Solid understanding of project execution practices, including planning, coordination, and field supervision
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and compliance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project scopes, and technical documentation
- Valid driver's license
