Job Summary
Directly supervise and train manufacturing staff for assigned areas, conducting daily standup meetings to discuss goals and solutions. Lead team growth to maximize throughput by preparing daily reports against planned targets and ensuring adequate materials, tools, and documents. Enforce OSHA standards, perform corrective actions, and execute 7S and Lean projects while conducting in-process inspections and QC functions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement areas. Requires 5+ years in CNC manufacturing, with experience leading teams in aerospace or defense environments. Monday through Friday, 2nd shift (3:30 pm to 12:00 am), with potential weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a component (CNC) manufacturing environment
- Experience leading a team within a CNC manufacturing environment for machining, deburring and assembly
- Experience in manufacturing for the Aerospace or Defense industry
- Self-motivated, hands-on, with a practical mindset, and capable of setting and reaching ambitious goals
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Software, ERP Systems (EPICOR), Outlook, and others as needed
- Monday through Friday position during the 2nd shift
- hours of 3:30 pm to 12:00 am
- may require some weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Systems Engineering or equivalent, or work equivalent
- Excited about taking on new challenges in a fast-paced environment (3D Printing Manufacturing a plus)
- Self-motivated, hands-on, practical mindset and willing to jump in when needed
- ISO 9001 and AS9100 experience
