Job Summary
Supervisor Production responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment. Oversees daily production orders, ensures staffing before start-up, supervises team member exercises and rotation for ergonomics, guarantees machinery performance, supports USDA inspection readiness, promotes safety through monthly meetings, ensures accurate shipments and inventory handling, provides benefits and policy information to team members, and performs training, coaching, and corrective actions as needed. Key skills include leadership, human-relations capabilities, record-keeping, problem-solving with cross-functional supervisors, and continuous education on quality. The role requires verifying yield, labor, efficiency, and quality metrics and implementing improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years in a manufacturing environment required and prior supervisory experience preferred
- High school diploma: education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful
- Travel: 1-5 trips per year
