Supervisor Production Maintenance

Job Summary
Provide direction and mechanical support to production mechanics while monitoring work in progress to maintain workflow and ensure timely equipment repairs. Manage parts inventory by listing required parts, vendors, and costs; track preventive maintenance records against scheduled deadlines. Coach, counsel, and motivate all technicians under direct report, verifying administrative procedures and enforcing departmental protocols. Account for meeting or exceeding Cost Per Unit targets by optimizing labor, overtime, and inventory control while maximizing machine throughput. Monitor daily reports on throughput and downtime, providing feedback to personnel and communicating strategic scheduling updates to senior management. Assume all department manager responsibilities during their absence.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or Technical/Trade School
- 5+ years experience and a proven proficiency in the operation and repair of production equipment
- A proven proficiency in the operation and repair of insertion and bindery equipment, electronic and electric circuit experience necessary
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of reporting tools Jet/IQ
- Experienced in Microsoft Office
- 3 years min. supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment
- Functional/technical skills
- Attention to detail
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to take direction and to work under pressure due to time constraints as necessary
- This is an on-site role that will be assigned to our office location where you will work 100% of the time
- The work hours are Monday-Friday, 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM during off-peak times, and 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM during on-peak times, including some weekends
