Job Summary
Directly supervise a production crew in fabrication with a weekend shift, monitor activities, and follow up on tasks assigned to each crew. Collaborate with leadership to establish conduct standards, assign work via the Hippo system, identify required skills and develop opportunities for employees to obtain them, maintain an organized spare parts warehouse, track equipment downtime, coordinate with diagnosticians on machine downtime planning, and uphold safety and quality policies to maintain a clean, hazard-free job site. Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures, and lead coordination with coworkers to complete tasks safely and on schedule. Requires HS Diploma/GED and Technical School or apprenticeship, plus 5+ years in maintenance-related fields; strong people-management, communication, independent work, and basic technical skills (MS Office, Electrical/Electronic/ hydraulic/ mechanical aptitude) are essential.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED required
- Technical School or formal apprenticeship required
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance related fields
- Ability to work with and manage people
- Effective communication with crew members
- Ability to work independently and meet daily schedules
- Working knowledge of MS Office or similar software
- Working knowledge of Electrical, Electronic, Hydraulic, and Mechanical aptitudes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 95% of the shift
- Ability to work in temperatures below 32 degrees or above 90 degrees occasionally
