Job Summary
Production Supervisor role leading and mentoring the metal manufacturing team to meet production targets while upholding safety and quality standards; responsibilities include coordinating daily operations, scheduling with production planning, implementing quality control, managing resources and inventory, driving continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, applying lean principles, training and developing staff, resolving employee issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address root causes and sustain a productive, safe, data-driven manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Deep understanding of continuous improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing or similar OpEx frameworks
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/Inventory systems is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field considered an asset
- Proficiency in production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
- Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and lead with high Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with experience in training and mentoring teams, as a teacher and as a peer
