Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet established schedules and quality standards while leading, training, and motivating the production team. Monitor production processes and equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality control procedures. Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to minimize downtime, manage inventory levels, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity. Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on performance metrics. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of manufacturing experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of production processes
- Strong knowledge of safety standards
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively
- Basic computer skills
- Familiarity with production management software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with Six Sigma
- Experience with other continuous improvement methodologies
- Certification in safety management or production supervision (e.g., OSHA, APICS)
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use data to drive decisions
