Job Summary
Supervisor Production on B Shift at Finney County Plant responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields in a safe working environment. Oversees line staffing, ensures all positions are filled before start-up, manages team member exercises and rotation for ergonomics, checks machinery performance, enforces USDA inspection standards, and maintains accurate shipments and inventory coding. Provides guidance on company benefits and compensation, trains and counsels team members, performs human-relations tasks, collaborates with other supervisors to resolve issues, and maintains records of reworked/returned products. Promotes daily safety through meetings and ongoing education on quality. Requires experience in a meat industry environment and supervisory ability; travel up to 1-5 trips per year. Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year in a meat industry environment; prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Education: High school diploma preferred; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
- Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
