Job Summary
Supervises pharmacy staff activities, ensuring adequate staffing and productivity while coordinating performance evaluations and quality assurance. Acts as a liaison between technical staff, upper management, and other disciplines to monitor operational efficiency and manage specialized functions. Develops schedules, conducts annual evaluations, provides orientation, interviews candidates, approves time cards, and handles hiring and discipline. Manages budget and expense tracking, identifies areas for improvement, and establishes process changes to drive departmental success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Accredited College of Pharmacy
- 3 years Hospital pharmacy and pharmacist experience
- RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania
- Demonstrates ability to direct pharmacy staff and to address scheduling, productivity, and personnel problems or questions in a positive manner
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
