Job Summary
Provide guests with an exceptional experience by assisting the Store Manager in overall operations, sharing product knowledge, and performing front-end duties like handling the cash register and replenishing merchandise. Organize and maintain a clean store front and stock room while assisting with projects including markdowns, re-tickets, and special store events. All other assigned duties from the Store Manager and/or Retail Management Team are expected. This role requires standing 8 hours daily and lifting 50 pounds regularly, with a flexible schedule including evening and weekend shifts. You must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors around a wide variety of animals. Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Passion for extraordinary customer service and the well-being of pets
- Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets
- Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require evening and weekend shifts
- Time management and organizational skills
- Position requires a person to be both indoors and outdoors (to assist with customer carry out)
- Must be able to stand 8 hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs
- Must be able to work around pet hair and dander
Desired Qualifications
- Professional retail sales experience preferred
- Professional supervisory experience preferred
