Job Summary
Provide guests with an exceptional experience by sharing product knowledge, promoting pet health, and assisting the Store Manager with overall operations. Perform front-end duties including handling the cash register, bagging, replenishing merchandise, and preparing displays while organizing a clean store front and stock room. Assist with projects such as markdowns, re-tickets, labeling products, and special store events as needed. Work flexible evening and weekend shifts, standing 8 hours daily and lifting 50 pounds regularly. Handle a wide variety of animals and pet hair/dander while meeting sales targets. Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Passion for extraordinary customer service and the well-being of pets
- Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets
- Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require evening and weekend shifts
- Time management and organizational skills
- Position requires a person to be both indoors and outdoors (to assist with customer carry out)
- Must be able to stand 8 hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs
- Must be able to work around pet hair and dander
Desired Qualifications
- Professional retail sales experience preferred
- Professional supervisory experience preferred
