Job Summary
Provide daily support, mentoring, and training to new and existing Patient Access staff while managing escalated issues. Assist in preparing short and long-range planning recommendations for Registration Process areas including Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, Emergency Department, and clinics. Enforce departmental policies, monitor daily activity, and complete performance and metric reports such as financial clearance reports. Act as part of the management team to ensure operational goals are met, including interviewing, hiring, and directing work for direct reports. Maintain positive customer service while resolving issues and performing special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clear understanding of Revenue Cycle Management and Regulatory Agencies
- Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral and written communications
- Must be available to work hours and days as needed based on departmental/system demands
- Must be 'on-call' as needed
Desired Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- 2 or 4 year college degree in Business, Accounting, Medical Administration or related area preferred
- 4 plus years experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area
- 5 plus years experience in Patient Access preferred
- 2 plus years in supervisory or lead role preferred
