Job Summary
Core Job Summary: The Supervisor, Patient Access (On-Site) oversees and supervises the day-to-day business and clinical support operations of assigned location and Tier 1 team responsible for ensuring a smooth operational patient flow by providing a wide range of critical front end revenue cycle and clinic support operations, for hospital and practice-based locations across the University of Miami Health System. The role includes training and evaluating registration staff, ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information for financial clearance, monitoring patient flow and staff productivity, informing management of patient flow issues, and supporting achievement of KPIs such as patient satisfaction, co-pay collection, and previous balance collections; requires adherence to policies, process improvements, and internal controls; strong interpersonal, leadership, and planning abilities are essential. The position emphasizes on-site supervision, policy compliance, and collaboration within the healthcare team to deliver efficient registration processing and high-quality patient service.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others
