Job Summary
Manage comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic patient care under physician prescriptions, including patient assessment, treatment plan formulation, implementation, and follow-up. Design orthosis and prostheses to restore physiological function or cosmesis while overseeing practice management. Utilize administrative and clerical systems for word processing, file management, stenography, transcription, and form design. Requires ten years of combined experience or four years in each discipline with ABC or BOC certification. Full-time day shift with 40 weekly hours at Sanford Health's EQUIP Bemidji facility.
Required Qualifications
- completed the schooling necessary to become certified as a Certified Orthotic/Prosthetic Practitioner
- ten years of combined experience, education and training in orthotics and prosthetics
- minimum of four years experience in orthotics
- minimum of four years experience in prosthetics
- experience under the supervision of a privileged orthotist and prosthetist
- Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics through the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC)
- valid class D driver's license
- good driving record
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
