Job Summary
Manage daily manpower planning, assign responsibilities and workstations, and evaluate employee performance with coaching and corrective actions. Ensure food safety standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements are met while championing employee safety without compromise. Train staff on proper procedures to optimize productivity and minimize labor and food costs, actively seeking ways to reduce expenses. Collaborate with internal customers and suppliers to improve the supply chain, execute production plans, and handle administrative tasks including requisitions and HACCP documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a high volume, fast paced food production environment
- Strong and effective leadership skills with the ability to successfully manage a staff of 20+ employees
- Must have the ability to give constructive feedback to employees daily
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Able to balance multiple objectives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong organizational & analytical skills
- Ability to create a production plan & execute that plan
- Must be innovative and have the ability to make changes to the operation as needed to further improve the work environment and unit performance
- Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Must be able to submit to a criminal background check
- Must be able to submit to a verification of employment history for all employers within the last 5 years
Desired Qualifications
- Quality Assurance, operations management program would be an asset
- Production planning experience a plus
- Quality Assurance and or health and safety experience a plus
- Knowledge of SAP a plus
