Job Summary
Coordinate employee work assignments to meet inbound and outbound service requirements while directing productivity, quality, and safety objectives. Monitor workflow, error rates, and metrics to implement corrective actions, ensuring procedures are observed, enforced, and that quality inspections eliminate excess costs. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all operational, audit, and safety regulations. Manage accurate time, attendance, and performance records while fostering positive employee relations and morale. Establish and monitor performance standards for picking, packing, shipping, equipment, and housekeeping. Process returned merchandise and develop training certification programs to ensure staff receive required instruction. Contribute to developing warehouse processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience
- 1 year experience leading warehouse associates
- Ability to operate a forklift or have the ability to obtain a forklift certification
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes
- Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn and use business planning systems
- Resolve problems in a timely manner under stressful situations
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment
- Ability to anticipate and prepare for customer needs
- Must be able to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend or stoop frequently
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to use hand tools
- Must be able to use heavy machinery (e.g., forklift)
