Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate workers for ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard. Maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts, investigating variances, and adjusting records. Plan inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics while determining staffing needs based on workload. Directly supervise 20+ employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and addressing performance appraisals and grievances. Ensure proper safety procedures are followed and resolve discrepancies between inventory and stock control records. Manage payroll for the department and advise employees on equipment handling and stock methods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
