Job Summary
Lead safety-focused supervisor for rail, coke, and transloading operations at a refinery, ensuring safe, on-time performance; balance field and office duties; train and coach team members; participate in hiring and disciplinary processes; issue daily shift reports; coordinate with refinery leadership and logistics to meet customer needs; enforce safety procedures and run incident command in manager’s absence; oversee cross-training and professional development; manage crews to achieve productivity while maintaining safety.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience direct supervisory experience
- A high school diploma, or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years operating in an industrial environment
- Current Lead Safety Specialist
- Current/valid driver license
- Must pass pre-employment physical, reference checks, drug screen, motor-vehicle report and criminal background check
- Must possess or qualify for a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC card)
- Able to pass respirator fit test
- Crawl under rail cars and work in tight spaces
- Walk 5+ miles per day on uneven terrain
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Splits time between office and field environment
