Job Summary
Review inbound appointment logs and open order reports daily to plan work activities and assign staff to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules. Manage inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics while determining staffing needs and ensuring proper safety procedures are followed. Supervise a team of 50+ employees by directing work, interviewing, training, appraising performance, and resolving grievances. Track productivity and inventory accuracy by tracing item history to resolve discrepancies and updating operational procedures as necessary. Manage department payroll and advise associates on equipment handling and stock procedures. Work Sun-Wed 5:30PM to 4:00AM. Requires minimum 3 years supervisory experience leading 50+ direct reports in logistics or distribution.
Required Qualifications
- Experience utilizing 3PL
- Freezer experience
- USDA imports and exports experience
- Safe food handling and temperature controlled storage experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a logistics, warehouse, distribution, or supply chain environment
- Experience leading a team of 50+ direct reports
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
