Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate workers for ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard. Review inbound appointment logs and open order reports daily to plan inbound and outbound schedules that meet customer metrics. Determine staffing needs based on workload and assign workers to specific duties while reviewing operational procedures to ensure accuracy and safety. Manage payroll for the department, track individual productivity, and resolve grievances to maintain harmony among the 20+ direct reports. Interview, hire, train, and appraise employees in accordance with organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
