Job Summary
Coordinate and lead daily safety and job briefing meetings with locomotive technicians across multiple locations. Clearly communicate operating performance goals, participate in safety meetings, and perform field safety observations to identify improvement trends. Ensure all incidents are investigated, work with field employees and customers to implement efficiencies, and maintain accurate maintenance planning records for FRA-required inspections. Perform annual performance evaluations, create individual development plans for future leaders, and schedule locomotive maintenance and repair activities with site supervisors. Monday through Friday with occasional weekend and travel requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Speak, write, read fluent English
- Hear and have good vision
- Regular on-site attendance
- Punctuality
- Ability to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
- Ability to work with protected and monitored exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, or other environmental conditions typical of an industrial facility
- Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction
- Ability to pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
