Supervisor - Operations (3rd Shift)

Job Summary
Coordinate employee work assignments to achieve inbound and outbound service requirements and direct achievement of productivity, quality, service, and safety objectives. Monitor workflow, error rates, and metrics to take corrective action while ensuring procedures are observed and a safe working environment is maintained. Establish and monitor performance standards for warehouse functions including pick, pack, ship, equipment, and housekeeping. Train, coach, and counsel associates, develop documentation for warehouse processes, and manage performance records and relations. Process returned merchandise and recommend performance management actions. Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 6pm-5am with four 10-hour shifts per week; overtime may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 3 years warehouse and distribution operations experience
- 1 year experience leading warehouse associates
- Ability to operate a forklift or have the ability to obtain a fork lift certification
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes
- Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn and use business planning systems
- Resolve problems in a timely manner under stressful situations
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment
- Ability to anticipate and prepare for customer needs
- Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds
- Work may require excessive bending or stooping
- Employee required to climb ladders
- Employee required to use hand tools
- Employee uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.)
