Job Summary
Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for shipping, receiving, stocking, order filling, and cycle counting. Direct the functional team through hiring, performance appraisals, and budget management while implementing training programs and onboarding. Manage workforce planning, labor relations, and equipment maintenance, ensuring safe work practices and OSHA compliance. Collaborate with sales and purchasing to coordinate activities, develop project plans, and review processes to improve productivity and efficiency. Maintain a clean, orderly warehouse environment and support daily operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Material handling and forklift experience
- Valid driver's license
- Medical certification
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of warehouse, transportation and logistics best practices
- Basic safety practices
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple people
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to manage projects relating to the operation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to effectively consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
- Ability to choose the most appropriate one
- Ability to understand and manage an expense budget
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Lifting ability of up to 80 pounds
- Ability to work on concrete surfaces
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure with fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent
