Supervisor of Rail Terminal Operations

Job Summary
Oversee scheduling and coordination of automotive terminal activities, including ramping and de-ramping vehicles based on fluctuating business needs. Ensure personnel meet productivity goals and uphold safety policies while monitoring vehicle handling for cost-effectiveness. Determine manpower levels, assign duties, and direct customer contact to meet requirements and maintain security within the railyard. Maintain daily communication with Assistant Terminal Managers and Terminal Managers to recommend productivity improvements and cost controls. Applicants must live within a one-hour commute of the West Columbia, SC location.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- APPLICANTS MUST currently live within a 1-hour commute of business location
- OUT OF AREA candidates and/or those requiring a relocation will NOT be considered
- Advanced knowledge of the railroad industry from a vocational education institute, apprenticeship, on-the-job training, and/or similar supervisory work experience
- Ability to assist in conflict resolution and mediation between co-workers
- Proven managerial skills to include ability as a strong leader and positive motivator
