Job Summary
Oversee HR and student-support functions for a 5–12 district, including recruitment, staffing, licensure/certification, employee relations, benefits, HR data systems, and compliance with FERPA and DOE/state rules; lead student services, safety, and district-wide policy implementation; supervise personnel and administrative processes; collaborate with district leadership, DOE, and stakeholders; provide strategic HR leadership, professional development, and budget oversight; requires educator licensure in Delaware, ten years public-school experience with five in administration, and a 12-month administrative contract in Delmar School District.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold or be eligible for educator licensure and/or certification in Delaware as Certified Central Office Personnel
- Minimum of ten years combined public school education experience that must include teaching and at least five years of administrative experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and data/documentation systems
- Satisfactory Child Protection Registry
- Mantoux skin test/PPD documentation
- Cooperative attitude
- Good oral and written communication and the ability to present information effectively
- The State of Delaware requires all public school employees to undergo a criminal background check (state and federal) to determine suitability for employment.
- Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check, which is the responsibility of the employee.
- The State of Delaware requires new employees to be paid by direct deposit and to be part of a lag payroll system as conditions of employment.
